Geoffroy Nourissat M.D. Ph.D. is currently Chief of the Shoulder Department at Clinique des Maussins, in Paris, France, which is the largest private Hospital in Paris
dedicated solely to orthopaedic surgery.
He came to Clinique des Maussins in 2010, after he left Saint Antoine University Hospital where he was Associate Professor during 6 years. He founded the first official public arthroscopy fellowship in a Private Hospital.
He is consultant in Orthopaedic Department of Saint Antoine Hospital as shoulder surgeon, and at Garche Hospital in the National Reference Center for Elhers Danlos Disease. He served as Member of the Board of French Society of Arthroscopy ( SFA) and of the National Council of Orthopedic Surgery Society (CNP
Sofcot).
He has authored over 60 peer review publications, more than 10 book chapters. His clinical and basic research has been recognized by more than 5 national and international awards. After a Master degrees in science in Harvard University, exploring the use of stem cell on meniscus repair (under the patronage of Dr T. Gill), he performed a PhD in Regenerative Medicine exploring the use of stem cells in bone tendon healing in Paris (Pr Berenbaum,UPMC-Sorbone).
He gave over 40 conferences and lectures in national and international meetings (SFA, SECEC, ESSKA, AANA, AAOS).
